Place it in an airtight labeled and dated container or in a resealable bag, squeezing out excess air. Freeze in a horizontal position for up to 2 months. To freeze the cooked meatballs with the sauce, simply place them in a freezer bag, crush the bag to squeeze out the air and close it. Label and date the freezer bag so you don't forget what it contains and put it in the freezer.
Homemade frozen meatballs are much tastier than pre-cooked packaged frozen meatballs sold on a frozen food island in the supermarket.
